Chuncheon Holds 26th Social Welfare Convention: “Thank You” for Dedication on the Welfare Front Lines

[Financial News, Chuncheon — Reporter Kim Ki-seop] A ceremony was held to thank those who have quietly dedicated themselves on the social welfare front lines.
According to Chuncheon City on the 18th, Chuncheon City and the Chuncheon City Social Welfare Council held the 26th Chuncheon City Social Welfare Convention that day at Megabox on the second floor of ENTA. Held to commemorate Social Welfare Day, observed annually on September 7, the event marked its 27th edition this year. Around 300 people, including representatives of local social welfare institutions and organizations and volunteers, attended.
Awards, including the Minister of Health and Welfare Award, the Chuncheon Mayor’s Award, the Chuncheon City Council Chair’s Award, and the Chair of the Chuncheon City Social Welfare Council’s Award, were presented to people recognized for contributing to the advancement of local welfare. After the ceremony, attendees watched a movie together, chatted, and took time to recharge.
Earlier that day, starting at 1 p.m., promotional and experiential booths operated by 10 local social welfare institutions were set up in front of Megabox. Each institution introduced its major welfare programs and available services to residents and showcased a variety of hands-on activities.
Yuk Dong-han, mayor of Chuncheon, said, "Your service and dedication on the welfare front lines have already been changing the world. Please continue to join hands with us and lend your support in building a warm, good city where children can nurture their dreams."
