Kwon Young-min Named New Doosan Robotics CEO, Bringing Construction Equipment Expertise to the Company

[Financial News] Kwon Young-min, a seasoned construction equipment executive, will lead Doosan Robotics as its new chief executive officer (CEO).
Doosan Robotics announced on the 18th that it had appointed Kwon as its new CEO.
Kwon joined Doosan's Strategic Planning Office in 2000 and later served as an executive director in the holding-company division before taking on key roles in the construction equipment business.
From 2010 to 2017, he served as an executive vice president overseeing sales and marketing in China and global services at Doosan Infracore, the predecessor of what is now HD Hyundai Construction Equipment. Starting in 2018, he led Doosan's construction equipment business strategy as Doosan Bobcat's chief strategy officer (CSO). From 2021 through this month, he served as CEO of Doosan Mottrol, a subsidiary of Doosan Bobcat.
Doosan Robotics faces the challenge of creating future growth engines and quickly turning profitable. His appointment is therefore seen as an effort to leverage the nearly three decades of construction equipment expertise Kwon has accumulated.
A Doosan Robotics official said, "Based on his experience in global business and across corporate management, he is expected to contribute to Doosan Robotics' mid- to long-term growth and strengthen its competitiveness."
