[Financial News] GS and Korea Electric Power Corporation are distributing AI safety-management solutions to KEPCO's partner SMEs and jointly operating a program to strengthen their AI transformation (AX) capabilities.
GS announced on the 18th that it had signed an agreement on mutual cooperation with Korea Electric Power Corporation to advance workplace safety and AX among SMEs at the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) Art Center in Seoul's Seocho District.
Under the agreement, the two companies will identify partner SMEs and promote the distribution of AIR, jointly plan and operate programs to strengthen SMEs' AX capabilities, and establish a performance-management system for their cooperative projects.
AIR is an AI safety-management agent developed by GS employees. After work-related information is entered, the AI analyzes potential hazards and safety measures and prepares a risk-assessment report. AIR is currently deployed at more than 250 sites.
As KEPCO's AX implementation partner, GS is responsible for planning and operating the AIR rollout and the AX capability-building program. The program will use GS's AX platform, MISO. Alongside AIR adoption, the companies plan to provide AI training to help partner SMEs build their capacity to apply the technology in the field.
GS operates a range of programs to spread an AI and digital-transformation culture, led by its innovation organization, 52g (Open Innovation GS).
