Haitai Confectionery & Foods to Raise Prices of 25 Brands, Including Oh! Yes Choco Cake, by an Average of 7.8%

[Financial News] Haitai Confectionery & Foods will raise the prices of products from 25 brands, including Oh! Yes Choco Cake, Homerun Ball, Pocky and Haitai Soy Protein Vegetable Dumpling, by an average of 7.8%. The products subject to the price increases will be supplied sequentially starting October 1, taking into account inventory levels held by each business partner.
Haitai Confectionery & Foods said on the 18th that prices for six snack brands and three chocolate brands will rise by an average of 9.8%. Prices for 11 biscuit brands will increase by an average of 9.4%, while those for three candy brands will rise by an average of 10.0%. Haitai Soy Protein Vegetable Dumpling will see an average price increase of 7.8%.
Among the major products, the price of Honey Butter Chips (60 g) will rise 5.9%, from 1,700 won to 1,800 won. Garubi Potato Chips (55 g) will also increase 5.9%, from 1,700 won to 1,800 won.
The price of Free Time (36 g) will increase 16.7%, from 1,200 won to 1,400 won, while Pocky (46 g) will rise 15.8%, from 1,900 won to 2,200 won. Homerun Ball (46 g) will increase from 1,900 won to 2,000 won, and Oh! Yes Choco Cake (360 g) will rise from 6,600 won to 7,000 won.
PEANUT CANDY (126 g) will rise from 2,000 won to 2,200 won, while Haitai Soy Protein Vegetable Dumpling (900 g) will increase from 9,480 won to 10,380 won.
Alongside the price increases, Haitai Confectionery & Foods will reduce the weight of 14 products from five brands, including Ppasae, osatsu, Honey Butter Chips, Garubi Potato Chips and Ice Cool, while keeping their prices unchanged.
A Haitai Confectionery & Foods official said, "Rising international oil and raw material prices have increased the burden of manufacturing costs and logistics expenses, intensifying cost pressures. We have absorbed the factors driving the increases through management efficiency and cost reductions, but determined that the situation had become too difficult to bear and therefore raised product prices."
