CG said on the 18th that it had participated in the Global Infrastructure Cooperation Conference (GICC) 2026, held from the 15th to the 17th, where it discussed guarantee support measures with overseas project owners and related agencies.
The event drew around 70 high-level officials from 35 countries, along with multilateral development banks including the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
CG operated its own promotional booth, showcasing its track record in overseas guarantees and global network. Since 2014, when it began expanding its overseas business in earnest, CG has provided guarantees needed for overseas projects undertaken by Korean construction companies.
CG held individual meetings with the Saudi Contractors Authority, the Philippines' Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), Bucha City Council in Ukraine, Kuwait's Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW), Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), and Kenya Nuclear Power and Energy Agency (NuPEA). It highlighted its capacity to provide guarantees for overseas construction projects and discussed potential follow-up cooperation.
CG plans to expand exchanges with overseas project owners and strengthen its guarantee services to support members' competitiveness in winning contracts and the stability of their projects.
CG currently provides approximately KRW 1.7 trillion in overseas guarantees annually.
