Seoul Metropolitan Government and Koryodang Donate 2,000 "Seoul Bread" Products to Residential Child-Care Facilities

[Financial News] Ahead of Chuseok, Seoul Metropolitan Government and bakery company Koryodang delivered 2,000 "Seoul Bread" products to children living in residential child-care facilities across Seoul.
Seoul Metropolitan Government said on the 18th that it had held the Koryodang–Seoul Child Welfare Association Chuseok Seoul Bread Donation Handover Ceremony on the 17th at Eden I-Ville, a residential child-care facility, together with Koryodang.
The 2,000 Seoul Bread products donated that day were distributed through the Seoul Child Welfare Association to children living in residential child-care facilities in Seoul. As of this month, 1,409 children live at 34 residential child-care facilities in the city.
Koryodang, a bakery company established in 1945, is developing and selling Seoul Bread with Seoul Metropolitan Government. The donation was organized as a way to give back to society part of the proceeds from Seoul Bread sales.
In April, Seoul Metropolitan Government and Koryodang launched "Seoul Red Bean Bun," which contains less sugar than conventional red bean buns, and "Seoul Whole Wheat Bread," made without sugar or butter. In July, they introduced "Seoul Chestnut Red Bean Bun" as an additional product. Cumulative sales of the three Seoul Bread varieties have now surpassed 120,000 units.
Ma Chae-suk, head of the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Women and Family Affairs Office, said, "I hope Seoul Bread will reach children as more than just food—as a warm reminder that there are people who support and care for them."
