President Lee Jae Myung: "I Have Absolutely No Intention of Seeking Another Term"

[Financial News] President Lee Jae Myung said in opening remarks at a press conference for the public held at Cheong Wa Dae on the 18th, "The people are always right."
President Lee also outlined his position on constitutional revision. He said, "I will work to ensure that the Constitution can be amended through reasonable discussions between the ruling and opposition parties and a national consensus."
He also addressed the opposition's calls for him not to seek another term. President Lee emphasized, "I want to state once again, firmly, on this occasion that I have absolutely no intention of seeking another term."
President Lee also stressed his commitment to reform. He said, "I will take even greater care to minimize the pain and sense of loss experienced by those who face difficulties during the reform process."
He placed particular emphasis on unity. President Lee said, "Those of us who dream of the ideals of democratic progress and reform and act to build a better world are all members of the pro-Moon Jae-in faction, the pro-Roh Moo-hyun faction, and the pro-Kim Dae-jung faction, and are comrades of Lee Jae Myung."
He also mentioned completing prosecution reform. President Lee explained, "We will address any problems that may arise from the absence of prosecutors' authority to conduct supplementary investigations by establishing thorough safeguards for police investigations."
He also outlined a policy direction aimed at stabilizing the real estate market. To ease overconcentration in the Seoul metropolitan area and promote balanced national development, he announced plans to usher in an era of an 'economic and administrative two-capital system,' with Seoul as the economic capital and Sejong City as the administrative capital.
At the end of his opening remarks, President Lee said, "I will not lose sight of my original resolve and will place my sole trust in the people. I will serve in government with an even greater sense of responsibility."
