After Saying "I'm Sorry" Over a "Publicly Recruited Comedian's Bar Disturbance," Park Jong-ok Says, "It Wasn't Me, So Please Stop Contacting Me"

[Financial News] Amid growing controversy over an incident in which a man who identified himself as a comedian recruited through a public audition caused a disturbance at a bar, comedian Park Jong-wook has come forward to clarify that he was mistaken for the person involved.
On the 17th, Park Jong-wook uploaded a video to social media titled "Sorry for the Publicly Recruited Comedian's Bar Disturbance." He said, "I'm sorry," and introduced himself as "Park Jong-wook, a comedian recruited through Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS)'s 16th public recruitment round." Park Jong-wook has also worked under the YouTube name "Kim Geura."
Park Jong-wook said, "I had been receiving far too many calls from acquaintances since this morning. I think there were more than 20. I was so flustered and shocked that, when I returned the calls, I learned they were about the incident involving a publicly recruited SBS comedian causing a disturbance." He explained that he had filmed and uploaded the video to clear things up after receiving numerous concerned messages from people asking, "Was that you?"
He said, "There was a disturbance at a bar in Mapo, but first of all, I don't have the money to go to Mapo to drink hard liquor. I was in Namyangju at the time, and if I spent money on hard liquor in Mapo, then added taxi and designated-driver fees, I would rather call a friend to my neighborhood, have two bowls of bone hangover soup and three bottles of soju, which would cost 40,000 to 50,000 won."
Regarding a statement that the person identified in the incident had suffered a dislocated shoulder, he said, "My shoulder was dislocated not yesterday, but six months ago. Other than singing at a drinking gathering, after joining the group and playing a game, 'How long are you going to make me dance with my shoulders? Look at my shoulder—it's dislocated,' I have never had a dislocated shoulder." He explained the matter humorously.
Park Jong-wook emphasized once again that he was unrelated to the incident, saying, "There is an account that the person in question threw a beer glass, but I have never thrown a beer glass. The only thing I remember throwing was a game a few days ago. I'm sorry for getting back to you so late. I am not the comedian recruited through a public audition who was involved in the disturbance, so please stop contacting me—please. I'm sick to death of you comedians."
Earlier, JTBC's "Sageonbanjang" reported that, on the 2nd, a man at a bar near Hongik University Station in Mapo District, Seoul, who claimed to be "a comedian recruited through a terrestrial broadcaster's public audition," got into an argument with foreign customers, damaged property including beer glasses, and was under police investigation for failing to pay his bar bill.
