Jung Won-joo, Daewoo Engineering & Construction Chairman: "Actively Participate in Central Asian Infrastructure Projects"

[Financial News] Daewoo Engineering & Construction said on the 18th that Chairman Jung Won-joo attended the official events of the First Korea–Central Asia Summit, held from the 14th to the 16th, and moved to expand cooperative ties.
The summit was the first multilateral summit-level meeting to bring together the leaders of South Korea and the five Central Asian countries. The leaders of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan visited South Korea.
According to the company, Chairman Jung attended the Korea–Uzbekistan Business Roundtable, the Korea–Turkmenistan Business Forum, and the Korea–Central Asia State Dinner in succession, engaging directly with the leaders, senior government officials, and businesspeople of each country.
Chairman Jung said, "The First Korea–Central Asia Summit served as an important opportunity for South Korea and Central Asia to expand the scope of their cooperation beyond the economy and industry to include cultural and people-to-people exchanges. We will further strengthen our trust and cooperative ties with each Central Asian country and actively participate in various infrastructure projects needed locally." Daewoo Engineering & Construction plans to continue strengthening its networks in the five Central Asian countries and expand its business into water resources, infrastructure, urban development, and related areas.
