On the 18th, Hana Financial Group announced that it had signed a three-way memorandum of understanding with ADGM and Hanwha Asset Management on the 16th at the JW Marriott Hotel in Seocho District, Seoul, to cooperate on stablecoin businesses and cross-border financial infrastructure between Korea and Abu Dhabi.
The agreement was established to jointly identify new business opportunities based on the financial and digital asset capabilities and global networks of Hana Financial Group, ADGM and Hanwha Asset Management, while building a foundation for cross-border financial cooperation linking Korea and Abu Dhabi.
Under the agreement, the three parties will cooperate in various areas, including jointly identifying business opportunities related to digital assets such as stablecoins and payment infrastructure; strengthening financial connectivity by expanding cross-border payment and remittance solutions; and creating a sustainable and interoperable digital asset ecosystem.
Established in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), in 2015, ADGM is an international financial center that has built a financial ecosystem involving global financial companies, institutional investors, and fintech and digital asset firms. It was among the first to establish a regulatory framework and institutional foundation for digital assets. In recent years, ADGM has actively promoted digital assets as a core strategic area, establishing itself as a global financial and digital asset hub.
A Hana Financial Group official said, "Drawing on the expertise and global networks of each institution, we will identify practical cooperation models in digital assets and cross-border finance."
