Jung Cheong-rae Hospitalized... “I Haven’t Had Even a Sip of Water in Three Days”

[Financial News]  Former Democratic Party of Korea leader Jung Cheong-rae was rushed to the hospital and is receiving inpatient treatment.
Rep. Jung Cheong-rae said on a social networking service (SNS) on the morning of the 18th, "I was rushed to the emergency room on the morning of the 16th with chills and a fever. I have been in the hospital for three days without being able to drink even a sip of water."
He added, "I think I’ll have to stay in the hospital for about a week. Still, thanks to that helpful IV drip hanging from me, I’m getting by without eating."
He also shared a photo of a hospital room with a "Fasting" sign and an IV drip.
Regarding the reason for his hospitalization, Rep. Jung said, "I may have pushed myself too hard without a break over the past one or two years, and my body seems to have been unable to keep up. I think it finally broke down because it could not withstand the severe overwork and accumulated fatigue." He attributed his condition to accumulated fatigue from serving as party leader and enduring the grueling party convention schedule, among other commitments.
He continued, "Yesterday evening, I went out for a short walk for the first time in two days, and I realized how wonderful the freedom to walk was. After falling ill, I was reminded once again that health is the most important thing." He urged people, "Please do not overexert yourselves, and stay healthy."
Finally, Rep. Jung said, "They say that when you fall, you can see the obstacles at your feet. Since I’m down, I’ll take the opportunity to rest. While I’m in the hospital, I’ll also look at the sky often and take a look around me."
