Voice Caddie to supply pin-position data to TechnoCraft

[Financial News]  Whether amateur or tour professional, every golfer facing a second shot asks the caddie the same question first: "Is it a front pin or a back pin?"
Swinging a club based only on the approximate distance to the center of the green, without knowing exactly where the pin is positioned across the vast putting surface, is essentially a gamble. For golfers who want to control everything perfectly—from calculating the wind to managing an iron's spin rate—nothing is more dangerous than guesswork. VC (Voice Caddie), a source of pride for South Korea's golf-tech industry, has made a bold move aimed at fairways around the world to bring this era of deep uncertainty to an end.
Going beyond the sale of simple measuring devices, Voice Caddie's Auto Pin Location (APL) technology is transforming golf-course infrastructure itself. The technology has now made a direct assault on Japan, one of the world's three largest golf markets.
This September, Japan's golf industry has been stirred by the formidable technology emerging from South Korea. Voice Caddie signed a mammoth deal to supply pin-position data to TechnoCraft, the dominant No. 1 company in Japan's cart-navigation market.
The impact of the deal is beyond imagination. Starting this month, Voice Caddie's APL service will be activated simultaneously at about 700 golf courses across Japan. APL tracks the actual position of the pin on the green in real time and sends highly precise distance information to golfers' devices in one-meter increments. A T Series watch worn on the golfer's wrist or an SL Series laser held in the hand communicates in real time with the golf course's central control system, providing a precise answer to the pin that should be targeted at that very moment.
The reason Voice Caddie's expansion into Japan is so formidable is that its approach is fundamentally different. While the rangefinder market has so far been absorbed in a battle over hardware specifications, such as lens clarity and measurement speed, Voice Caddie has chosen to take over the ecosystem by directly connecting golf-course infrastructure with its devices.
No matter how good a device is, it remains only half as useful if it does not know the pin's position for the day. By embedding its APL software infrastructure directly into golf courses overseas, Voice Caddie has created an unbridgeable lead in user experience that competitors cannot easily imitate. This is bound to translate into explosive demand for Voice Caddie's hardware lineup in the Japanese market.
The company's sights have already moved beyond Asia to the United States, the birthplace of golf and the world's largest market. Proof-of-concept testing for APL is currently underway in earnest at major golf courses around Los Angeles. Once strong partnerships are formed with large local golf-course operators, the United States' vast fairways will also come under the control of South Korea's AI caddie.
The creation of a South Korea-Japan-United States precision-strike belt, as innovative technology born in South Korea extends across the Japanese archipelago and into North America. By replacing the old romance of golf, which relied on guesswork and intuition, with precise data engineering, Voice Caddie's determined advance is rewriting the global golf industry's new standard.
