She also insisted that, as a female entrepreneur, being called Han Dong-hoon's "room-salon madam" was the most unfair accusation.
In an interview on the 16th with the Korea Independent Newsroom Network's "Dokhan Gija KIN," Ms. Yang said, "I feel like I have become an enemy of the entire nation," adding, "In fact, I feel like a sinner in front of lawmaker Kim Seung-won."
She continued, "I feel so sorry to the nominee that I simply can't contact him. How could I have the nerve to reach out to him?" She said she had voluntarily come forward for the interview.
Regarding the alleged lobbying over new drug approval, she countered, "Because I truly did nothing legally wrong, I did not commit any criminal act against Kim, as shown by the fact that I even underwent the prosecution's investigation alone without a lawyer."
Ms. Yang said, "I have many titles and certifications, and I was proudly among the 500 businesspeople invited by former President Yoon Suk Yeol," adding that she felt most wronged by being referred to as a room-salon madam by lawmaker Han Dong-hoon.
"Overall, I think I was somewhat showy and immature," she said. "I berate myself a lot, wondering why I showed off so much about knowing them."
She expressed her hope, saying, "I wish you would give me some room to breathe and not misunderstand me based on unverified information."
