[Financial News] Boy group CORTIS has emerged as HYBE’s next-generation “super IP,” following in the footsteps of BTS.
According to the latest weekly album chart released by Circle Chart on the 17th, CORTIS’s second mini album, “GREENGREEN,” featuring Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon and Keonho, recorded approximately 4.1 million copies in cumulative sales for the June 6–12 period.
Only two albums released this year have surpassed 4 million copies in cumulative sales: BTS’s “Arirang” and CORTIS’s “GREENGREEN.”
“GREENGREEN” recorded first-week sales of 2,313,291 copies, according to Hanteo Chart, when it was released in May. That figure is more than five times the 436,467 copies sold in the first week of the group’s previous album, demonstrating CORTIS’s explosive growth.
