Restoration of Ulsan's Bangeojin Live Fish Center, Closed for Four Weeks, to Be Completed by April Next Year

【Financial News Ulsan = Reporter Choi Su-sang】 Restoration of Ulsan Dong District's Bangeojin Live Fish Center, whose operations were suspended after a fire, is expected to be completed around April next year. 
According to Dong District, Ulsan, a fire that broke out at the Bangeojin Live Fish Center on the 22nd of last month completely destroyed 29 of the center's 62 stores and partially destroyed the remaining 33.
The district estimates the facility restoration cost at about 4 billion won. It has applied to Ulsan Metropolitan City for 2 billion won in special adjustment grants and plans to apply to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) for 3 billion won in special local allocation tax for disaster and safety.
Fortunately, two structural safety assessments found no major problems with the building's structural framework. Officials are therefore considering remodeling the facility while retaining the existing frame.
Meanwhile, the affected merchants have been unable to operate for nearly four weeks, and the exact amount of property damage has yet to be determined. Ulsan Metropolitan City decided to use 114 million won from its disaster relief fund to provide 2 million won to each store.
