"Audience Members Become Secret Agents"... Musical 'Code Name X' to Meet Original Author Kang Kyŏng-su

[Financial News] The audience-participatory live-quest musical 'Code Name X' is hosting a special event where audiences can meet its original author, Kang Kyŏng-su.
According to Arts Company and the Cultural Foundation of National Museum of Korea on the 17th, an audience Q&A with Kang Kyŏng-su will be held at Theater Yong at the National Museum of Korea after the 4:30 p.m. performance on the 20th.
The musical 'Code Name X' is based on Kang Kyŏng-su's bestselling book of the same name, which has sold 1 million copies. The event will be attended by Kang, who won the 2011 Ragazzi Award at the Bologna Children's Book Fair, as well as producer Cho Sun-hyung, director Jeon Chang-hoon and the principal cast. They will share stories about the writing of the original book and the production and direction of the musical, followed by a question-and-answer session and a photo opportunity with the audience.
'Code Name X' is an interactive production in which audience members do more than watch the story unfold: They become secret agents and solve cases alongside the protagonists, Kang Parang and Violet. Using Theater Yong's staging techniques, video graphics and special effects, the production brings the original work's world of espionage to life in three dimensions.
While a story about tracking down a criminal unfolds onstage, agent training for audience members takes place in the auditorium.
To mark the special audience Q&A, the organizers are selling VIP seats for the 4:30 p.m. performance on the 20th at 33,000 won, a 57% discount from the regular price, through the 18th.
The production runs at Theater Yong at the National Museum of Korea through October 18. Tickets are available through NOL Ticket, Ticketlink and Naver.
