[Financial News] The Investor Education Council has prepared an educational program for military personnel and their children, who have had relatively fewer opportunities to receive financial investment education.
The Investor Education Council announced that it would hold the 'Financial Investment Experience Center Tour for Military Personnel and Their Children' over two days, from the 17th to the 18th, at the Financial Investment Experience Center and the Korea Financial Investment Education Association. The event is part of the Financial Education Council's efforts to strengthen financial education for military personnel.
Participants were recruited and selected with assistance from the Ministry of National Defense. The program offers separate, customized economic and financial education tailored to military personnel and their children in grades five through eight.
Parents will attend two special lectures by financial experts. On the first day, Park So-yeon, a director at Shinyoung Securities, will speak on 'Financial Education for Children.' On the second day, Yeom Seung-Hwan, a director at LS Securities, will share practical know-how that can be applied to everyday life under the theme 'Smart Ways to Manage Personal Finances.'
The children's program consists of hands-on economics and finance classes, including a tour of the Financial Investment Experience Center, a special lecture on 'Rational Consumption and Investment,' and the 'Household Budget Makeover' board game. The program is designed to help young people learn economic and financial concepts in an easy and engaging way.
Lee Chang-hwa, head of the Korea Financial Investment Education Association, said, "We will continue to seek out communities with limited access to education, offer a diverse range of effective financial education content, and make practical contributions so that everyone can build a strong foundation in financial capabilities."
