[Financial News] Samsung Electronics is strengthening its push into the Southwest Asian market by rolling out AI home appliances optimized for local climates and lifestyles. From air conditioners designed for hot, humid weather to care functions tailored to family-oriented culture, the company is expanding differentiated home appliance experiences by integrating AI into the daily lives of local consumers.
Samsung Electronics said on the 17th that it held the Southwest Asia home appliance technology seminar “The Brief” in Gurugram, India, on the 16th, showcasing customized AI home appliance experiences reflecting local consumer characteristics and residential environments.
Samsung Electronics invited major local media outlets and influencers to the Southwest Asia technology seminar and introduced AI home appliance technologies optimized for India’s distinctive climate and culture. The venue featured an air conditioner experience zone, a kitchen appliance experience zone, and a home care and reliability zone, allowing participants to directly experience customized AI home appliance offerings designed for the hot, humid climate and family-oriented lifestyle.
In the air conditioner experience zone, Samsung demonstrated WindFree technology, which maintains comfort without direct airflow. It also introduced five airflow-control technologies using the Motion Blade, the airflow blade of the Bespoke AI WindFree Pro air conditioner.
It also showcased the Wearable Good Sleep mode, which connects with Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring to create an optimal sleep environment based on sleep stages and changes in body temperature.
In the kitchen appliance experience zone, Samsung demonstrated the Now Brief feature, which recommends personalized information through the screen of the Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator.
It also showcased the Family Care feature, which detects parents’ device-use patterns and checks on their well-being.
In the home care and reliability zone, Samsung emphasized its differentiated quality and service capabilities, which extend beyond the point of purchase. In particular, it introduced services that identify signs of abnormality and support diagnosis and corrective action through SmartThings Home Care and Home Appliance Remote Management (HRM). SmartThings Home Care monitors the condition of home appliances and notifies users when maintenance is due, such as filter replacement or appliance cleaning, helping them keep their products in optimal condition.
The Home Appliance Remote Management service uses professional consultants to remotely analyze a device’s condition in detail and guide users on appropriate measures, reducing unnecessary waiting time and effort.
Marking its 30th anniversary of entering the Indian market this year, Samsung Electronics plans to continue emphasizing its quality and service capabilities, which extend beyond the point of purchase, and provide local consumers with more reliable AI home appliance experiences.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics also held technology seminars in Latin America for about 80 people from major local media outlets and the influencer community in São Paulo, Brazil, in August and Mexico City, Mexico, on September 9.
Lee Sang-jik, vice president of Samsung Electronics’ Digital Appliances (DA) Business Division, said, "The true value of AI home appliances lies in enhancing consumers’ daily lives and quality of life." He added, "Samsung Electronics will continue to innovate by developing AI technologies that reflect the environments and cultures of each region, so that we can become a partner that delivers tangible value in everyday life."
