SK hynix to Host 'Thank-You Event' at Seoul Land for 30,000 Partner-Company Family Members

[Financial News] SK hynix announced on the 17th that it will host 'ThanksFULL Day' at Seoul Land in Gwacheon, inviting around 8,000 employees from approximately 130 major partner companies and their families, for a total of about 30,000 people. Scheduled for October 15, the name 'ThanksFULL Day' conveys the intention to express a full measure of gratitude—'Thanks' and 'FULL'—to the partner-company employees and their families who have helped create achievements together.
SK hynix believes that the expertise of its partner companies has played a major role in enhancing semiconductor technology development and production competitiveness. The company prepared the event to personally express its gratitude, recognizing that it could not have achieved its current results without the efforts and dedication of employees working on the front lines.
The company is extending its gratitude to their families as well. It organized the event to help employees and their families create enjoyable memories together, recognizing the support and encouragement families provide so that partner-company employees can perform at their best in the field.
The event will be organized around the themes of 'Togetherness' and 'Gratitude.' A variety of hands-on programs and events for the whole family will be available throughout the venue. Every attendee will receive a welcome gift, while children will be given a separate 'Kids Goods' set. Featuring three-dimensional crafts modeled after a semiconductor fab, the set is designed to help children become familiar with the semiconductor workplaces where their parents work in a fun, playful way.
SK hynix executives will also personally greet partner-company employees and their families at the venue. Cha Sun-yong, head of the Future Technology Research Institute and chief technology officer (CTO), and Lee Byung-gi, head of mass production and chief production officer (CPO), will welcome attendees at the entrance after working with partner companies throughout the entire process, from technology development to mass production.
Noh-Jung Kwak, president and chief executive officer (CEO), also plans to visit the event and personally express his gratitude to partner-company employees and their families.
The event is an extension of SK hynix's ongoing shared-growth initiatives. The company views the competitiveness of its partner companies as directly linked to the competitiveness of Korea's semiconductor ecosystem and SK hynix itself. In July, it also announced plans to strengthen support for semiconductor materials, parts and equipment suppliers by utilizing 1.4 trillion won in shared-growth funds over the next five years.
In the technology sector, SK hynix operates the 'R&D Challenge Reward Program,' designed to support partner companies with sufficient technological capabilities but financial difficulties, as well as the 'IPR Sharing Support Center,' which shares the company's patents with partner companies. It is also building Trinity FAB in the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster, where joint research and development and verification can be conducted with partner companies, and plans to open the facility starting in 2027.
Support in finance and business operations is also continuing. Through the 'Shared Growth Fund,' SK hynix provides partner companies with low-interest financing and has continuously improved payment terms.
During major holidays, when demand for funds rises, the company makes payments for supplied goods earlier to ease its partners' liquidity burden. SK hynix will again make early payments totaling approximately 304.7 billion won this year, before the Chuseok holiday. The aim is to provide institutional support alongside measures that partner companies can directly experience in the field.
