[Financial News] Samsung Electronics Service received the Grand Prize in the Customer Satisfaction category of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) division at the 2026 Korea Management Awards for the second consecutive year, in recognition of its achievements in improving customer convenience and access to services. Kim Young-ho, CEO and vice president of Samsung Electronics Service, had the honor of accepting the award on behalf of the company.
According to industry sources on the 17th, the Korea Management Awards is a program organized by the Institute for Industrial Policy Studies and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and others. It selects outstanding companies and CEOs that have contributed to the development of the nation's industry and economy as award recipients.
Samsung Electronics Service Vice President Kim Young-ho was selected as a recipient for the second consecutive year in recognition of his efforts to improve customers' convenience in using services, based on a management philosophy of 'customers first.'
Since April this year, Samsung Electronics Service has fully implemented a 'reservation service' at all service centers nationwide, allowing customers to conveniently receive service at their preferred time without waiting after making an appointment. Since the service was introduced, customer satisfaction has improved, and the proportion of services booked in advance has continued to rise.
The company is also continuing its efforts to improve customers' access to services. It regularly dispatches vehicles equipped with mobile-phone inspection equipment as 'mobile service centers' to places that are difficult to reach, such as remote islands and mountainous areas. It also provides field services for home appliances, going wherever customers are.
Through its 'Home Appliance Remote Diagnosis (HRM)' service, linked to Samsung SmartThings, Samsung's differentiated artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) solution, customers can receive remote assistance without an engineer inspection. When national disasters such as floods and wildfires occur, the company dispatches a special disaster recovery service team to the scene to help customers quickly return to their daily lives by cleaning appliances and providing free inspections.
When flooding caused by torrential rains this August affected areas of South Gyeongsang Province, the company also dispatched a 'Special Service Team' to provide free inspections and repairs for home appliances.
Kim Young-ho, vice president of Samsung Electronics Service, said, "Winning the Customer Satisfaction Grand Prize at the Korea Management Awards for two consecutive years is the result of all our employees putting the 'customers first' philosophy into practice. We will continue to do our utmost to provide services that satisfy our customers," expressing his appreciation.
