Koscom Corporation Gives Chuseok Holiday Gifts to 648 Vulnerable Households

[Financial News] Koscom Corporation launched a holiday gift-sharing campaign for vulnerable groups in the communities where it operates ahead of Chuseok. Koscom Corporation said on the 17th that it held a ceremony at Anyang City Hall on the 16th to deliver Chuseok holiday gifts to low-income vulnerable households in Anyang-si.
The ceremony was attended by Hong Seok-won, head of Koscom Corporation’s Management Strategy Division; Lee Gye-sam, deputy mayor of Anyang-si; and officials from the Anyang-si Community Social Security Council. The participants reaffirmed their commitment to public-private cooperation in supporting vulnerable groups and to shared growth with the local community.
The initiative was organized to ease the burden on local residents who face difficulties preparing for the holiday ahead of Chuseok. Koscom Corporation prepared gift sets containing sesame oil and perilla oil produced in a rural village with which it has a sister-city relationship. The sets will be delivered to 198 low-income vulnerable households through the Anyang-si Community Social Security Council.
Koscom Corporation is also carrying out holiday gift-sharing activities in Yeongdeungpo District in Seoul and Dong-gu, Busan, in addition to Anyang-si. To mark Chuseok this year, the company will provide holiday gifts worth 30 million won to a total of 648 vulnerable households across the three areas. In cooperation with welfare organizations in each region, it plans to deliver holiday food sets and grocery packages to the recipient households.
Hong Seok-won, head of Koscom Corporation’s Management Strategy Division, said, "I hope this support will ease, even slightly, the burden on local residents who are struggling to prepare for the holiday and help them enjoy a warm Chuseok." He added, "We will continue to listen to the voices of the communities where our operations are located and work to provide practical assistance wherever it is needed."
