[Financial News] YK Law Firm and Oreum Association announced on the 17th that they had delivered heartfelt Chuseok gifts to nine young adults preparing to live independently.
The gifts were worth approximately 200,000 won per person and consisted of a 150,000-won department-store gift certificate and a lightweight vest. The organizations included the gifts to provide practical help as the young adults purchased items they needed for the holiday, along with clothing to keep them warm as the weather turned cooler in autumn.
The recipients are young adults who left Shinmyeong Aimaru, a child-care facility in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, and are establishing themselves in society. YK Law Firm and Oreum Association formed a relationship with Shinmyeong Aimaru through a court tour program in 2023 and have since delivered hanbok to the facility’s children every holiday. They have also been running a holiday support program each year, considering the assistance needed by young adults after leaving the facility.
Kim Yong-tae, chairman of Oreum Association, said, "Just as the seasons change, everyone is bound to encounter countless changes and unfamiliar moments in life. I was deeply moved by the young adults who continue to build their lives quietly without giving up, and I wanted to offer them my support."
