[Financial News] Netmarble held a media presentation for its upcoming roguelite action role-playing game (RPG) 'Solo Leveling: KARMA' at Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2026, which opened on the 17th at Makuhari Messe in Japan. The company created playable characters based on the original work's key element, the 'Shadow Army,' allowing players to control them directly. It also prepared hands-on areas featuring more than 200 buffs and eight playable characters.
At the presentation held at Netmarble's booth at the Tokyo Game Show, Hirokazu Yamashita, head of the business division at Netmarble Japan, and Jin Seong-geon, head of development at NetmarbleNeo, took the stage to introduce the game's key systems and content.
Japanese actor Kanata Hongo participated as a special guest. During the game demonstration session, Hongo played both the story mode and survival mode himself.
The event also provided details about pre-registration for Solo Leveling: KARMA. Pre-registration has been available in South Korea and Japan on the Google Play Store and App Store since the 16th. Participants will receive the limited-edition 'Sung Jinwoo Predator Costume,' the limited-edition 'Shadow Monarch's Halo Accessory,' the 'Monarch's Chest' and 'Hunter's Chest,' which contain useful gameplay items, and a 'Secret Support Card.'
With this new title, Netmarble is aiming to win the Future Division award at the Japan Game Awards 2026. During TGS 2026, Netmarble plans to hold various on-site events, including game demonstrations and merchandise giveaways, and to actively communicate with users until the official launch.
