【Financial News Ulsan = Reporter Choi Soo-sang】 Ulsan Metropolitan City and Japan’s Niigata City are further strengthening the foundation for private-sector economic exchanges as they mark the 20th anniversary of their exchanges this year.
Ulsan Metropolitan City dispatched an official delegation led by Deputy Mayor Seo Nam-gyo to its friendship and cooperation city, Niigata City, Japan, for four days from the 17th to the 20th.
After paying a courtesy call on Niigata Mayor Nakahara Yaichi, the delegation will take part in a range of events, including a banquet celebrating the 20th anniversary of the exchanges and cultural and economic exchange programs.
At the banquet, the two sides will review the achievements of the past 20 years and discuss directions for future development.
At the Korea-Japan Chuseok Festival, held at Ryutopia, the Niigata City Performing Arts Center, CAYCREW, a representative B-boy performance troupe from Ulsan Metropolitan City accompanying the delegation, will present a special performance.
Ulsan Expo, an exhibition and hands-on experience space showcasing Ulsan’s local culture and attractions, will also be held locally.
A city official said, "This visit will serve as an opportunity to reaffirm the friendship built over the past 20 years and further solidify the foundation for substantive private-sector and economic exchanges. Through cultural and artistic performances and local promotional events, we will convey Ulsan’s appeal to the citizens of Niigata in depth."
