[Financial News] The Busan Regional Office of SMEs and Startups announced on the 17th that it is recruiting small businesses in Busan to participate in on-site live commerce for outstanding small-business products linked to the Korea Grand Festival (Kogpe).
The project is a live-commerce support initiative designed to promote sales and expand online sales channels for small businesses in Busan during the Korea Grand Festival, which runs from October 29 to November 15. In cooperation with Busan Sodam Square, the Busan Regional Office of SMEs and Startups plans to select approximately 24 local small businesses and support on-site live broadcasts.
The selected businesses will receive comprehensive support through Busan Sodam Square for arranging show hosts, providing filming staff and equipment, and broadcasting the live streams, as well as for the overall operation of on-site live commerce.
Eligible applicants are small businesses in Busan that handle finished consumer products and are capable of selling them online. Businesses wishing to participate can apply online via the email address of the designated official at the Busan Regional Office of SMEs and Startups.
Lee Cheong-il, head of the Busan Regional Office of SMEs and Startups, said, "Online consumption is expanding every year, with online shopping transaction value increasing by approximately 10% in the first half of this year compared with the same period last year." He added, "We will provide active support through this live-commerce initiative so that small businesses in Busan can expand their online sales channels and gain opportunities to increase sales."
