Busan Office of Education's Integrated Login System 'Fens' Surpasses 10,000 Subscribers in 10 Days

[Financial News] 'PENZ,' an integrated cloud and AI service login system introduced by the Busan Office of Education, has surpassed 200,000 cumulative connections and 10,000 subscribers just ten days after its launch, rapidly spreading across schools.
According to the City Office of Education on the 17th, Penz currently has an average of about 15,000 daily connections, and more than 1,000 new people are signing up every day.
Penz is an integrated login system built to resolve the inconvenience of having to create and manage individual accounts for each educational cloud service and AI tool. With a single integrated authentication, users can access various digital educational resources such as Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and Canva.


The City Office of Education analyzed that the key reason for Penz's rapid adoption in schools was the effective customized information sessions conducted over four sessions during the three weeks following the system's launch, targeting a total of 1,410 participants including school principals, heads of institutions, IT managers, and account managers.
In addition, the intuitive system structure, which eliminated the hassle of having to sign up and manage accounts separately for each individual service with a single login, also played a role.
Support and positive responses from edutech companies are also continuing for the establishment of this integrated system. 'Oneulbaeum,' an edutech specialist company that signed a multilateral business agreement with the Busan Office of Education, shares the same vision for establishing the Busan Office of Education's integrated login system and has decided to provide its premium AI edutech solutions, 'Snorkel' and 'Redmenta,' completely free of charge to teachers in the district during the second semester.
Snorkel is a process-oriented assessment tool in which AI analyzes thought processes through students' voices, drawings, and text. Redmenta is an AI learning design platform that assists with lesson design and customized formative assessments through over 160 AI assistants.
Yoo Young-ok, Director of the Education Research and Information Institute at the City Office of Education, said, "Achieving 200,000 cumulative connections and 10,000 subscribers in just ten days is proof that we accurately identified the user-centered digital administration that schools needed," adding, "The Office of Education's efforts to build the system are leading to a virtuous cycle of voluntary edutech support from companies."
