“I’ll Pay You to Go on a Date with Me”: Kim Jihyun Reveals an Intimate Proposition

[Financial News]  Kim Jihyun, a former member of the group Roo’Ra, revealed that she once received what she called an “intimate proposition” from a prominent business figure during her heyday.
On December 16, Kim Jihyun appeared on the YouTube channel ‘Dr. Shin’ and said that, while she was actively working, she had received proposals along the lines of, “I’ll pay you this much, so go on a date with me.”
Among them, one phone call remains particularly vivid in Kim Jihyun’s memory. She recalled, “Someone called me and said, ‘I’ll give you 10 million won if you guess who I am.’”
She also said she felt uncomfortable with the caller’s attitude. Kim Jihyun explained, “I thought, ‘I’m Kim Jihyun—how dare you speak to me like this?’ So I pretended not to know who he was until the end.” She added, “Eventually, I figured out who he was.”
She said the caller’s identity was unexpected. Kim Jihyun stated, “He was a chairman-level figure—someone whose name alone would make him recognizable.” She also revealed that she had previously seen him in private with another female entertainer.
Kim Jihyun claimed, “As it turned out, he was dating that female entertainer at the time.” She added that the acquaintance who had given the man her phone number later told her who he was and said, “Why didn’t you pretend to know him?”
When the other cast members asked about the man’s identity, Kim Jihyun did not reveal his name. She said, “He’s extremely famous and somewhat older—around my father’s age.” She added, “He has a family now and is living well, so I’ll stop here.”
Kim Jihyun also discussed her past cosmetic surgery. When Shin Jung-hwan asked whether it was true that she had received sponsored facial bone contouring surgery, she confirmed it and said, “I didn’t touch the double eyelids, nose, or mouth my mother gave me.” She explained that she decided to undergo the procedure because “I thought my face looked too big.”
Looking at Kim Jihyun’s old photos, Shin Jung-hwan joked, “It was a good decision to have the surgery. I’m grateful to the surgeon. You look better now.” Kim Jihyun laughed and replied, “I think so too.” She added that people around her sometimes contact her after seeing her old photos and ask, “You were pretty back then, so why did you have double-jaw surgery?”
