[Financial News] NAVER is integrating real-time delivery information into its AI Shopping Agent. The AI selects products that can be delivered on time based on the user’s delivery address.
NAVER announced on the 17th that it is enhancing the recommendation feature of the AI Shopping Agent in the NAVER Shopping app by incorporating real-time delivery information.
Previously, users had to check the expected arrival date for each product individually. Going forward, they will be able to converse with the AI Shopping Agent and search at once for products that can be delivered when they need them.
For example, if a user enters, "I’m going camping—recommend a hot-pot meal kit that will arrive by tomorrow," the AI filters products that can actually arrive by that date based on the user’s registered delivery address. In addition to the expected arrival date, it also provides each product’s order cutoff time, with guidance such as, "If you place your order by 10 p.m. tonight, you can receive it early tomorrow morning."
Use of the AI Shopping Agent is also increasing. According to NAVER, as of September, the number of conversations through the AI Shopping Agent had risen by approximately 60% from June, shortly after its official launch. During the same period, transaction value through the AI Shopping Agent increased by 82%.
NAVER plans to combine product specifications, real-time delivery information, review data, and other data held by NAVER Shopping with personalized recommendation technology. This will expand the scope of AI support from product discovery to comparison and recommendations.
Jung-tae Lee, NAVER’s Shopping Search & AI leader, said, "By combining real-time shopping data with personalized recommendation technology, we will support purchase decisions optimized for users’ intentions and context and continue building a differentiated AI commerce experience."
