[Financial News] NH Amundi Asset Management held a plaque-unveiling ceremony to mark its certification as a dementia-friendly leading company.
According to NH Amundi Asset Management on the 17th, the ceremony was held at its headquarters in Seoul’s Yeouido district on the 14th. The company received the certification from the Yeongdeungpo-gu Dementia Relief Center on July 28.
The dementia-friendly leading company designation is awarded to companies whose employees complete dementia-awareness training and that use their capabilities to promote dementia-friendly environments and community efforts to overcome dementia.
To meet the certification requirements, all NH Amundi Asset Management employees completed “Dementia Partner” training. Dementia Partners are designated after receiving basic dementia education so they can support people with dementia and their families in the community.
The certification is part of NH NongHyup Financial Group’s “Safe Care Project,” which has been underway since June. NH NongHyup Financial Group launched the project to reduce the difficulties and risks that customers with dementia and their families face during financial transactions and to protect their financial assets. NH Amundi Asset Management and other subsidiaries are participating by pursuing certifications linked to the national dementia-management system and operating manuals for assisting customers with dementia.
Gil Jeong-seop, CEO of NH Amundi Asset Management, said, “Having all employees undergo the training together gave us an opportunity to recognize dementia as an issue that can affect anyone in everyday life.” He added, “We will work with the local community, including the Yeongdeungpo-gu Dementia Relief Center, to help expand a dementia-friendly environment.”
