KT Expands Private 5G Network Services for Businesses and Rents Dedicated Devices

[Financial News] KT is working to establish a work environment using a fifth-generation (5G) mobile network, allowing businesses and public institutions to securely access their internal corporate networks outside the office without the burden of purchasing dedicated devices. Customers can rent as many dedicated devices as needed, while KT provides integrated support ranging from network activation and operation to troubleshooting.
KT announced on the 17th that it had launched the 5G Private Network Rental Egg, which allows customers to rent dedicated devices for its business-oriented Private 5G Network.
The Private 5G Network is a business wireless service that connects a company’s internal network to KT’s wireless network through a closed network based on a dedicated line. By connecting an Egg device to a laptop, users can access a secure internal corporate network while working off-site or in the field.
Businesses and public institutions can rent only the number of Egg devices they need instead of purchasing them outright. KT explained that this reduces initial device acquisition costs while easing the burden of managing device inventory and condition.
KT provides integrated support throughout the entire process, from service activation and device operation to troubleshooting. If a device breaks down or a service failure occurs, KT assists with the resolution process, helping customers reduce the time and costs associated with maintenance and related administrative work.
The device rental fee is billed together with the Private 5G Network line fee. As a result, customers can streamline cost management—from budget planning and execution to settlement—without having to process device purchases and line usage separately.
