[Financial News] The role of offline stores is changing in the furniture industry. Customers experience products and consult with experts in stores, then complete their purchases through the channel they prefer, such as online. Furniture companies are seeking to transform offline stores from simple sales spaces into experience and consultation venues that help customers make purchasing decisions.
According to the furniture industry on the 17th, DESKER, a furniture brand operated by Fursys Group, runs the “On·Off Cross Shopping” service, which links in-store consultations with online purchases.
Onkshow allows customers to experience products in person at a store, receive one-on-one consultations tailored to their needs from a space expert, and then freely choose where to make their purchase. Customers can compare prices and benefits and buy products at the physical store, DESKER’s official online mall, Naver Smart Store, or another preferred channel.
Stores also offer a “3D Space Planner” service that allows customers to virtually arrange furniture according to the size and layout of a space. The service enables them to check furniture placement and space utilization before making an actual purchase. The company said that DESKER’s Songpa District store saw its purchase conversion rate more than double after introducing Onkshow.
DESKER currently operates Onkshow and 3D Space Planner services at 13 major stores nationwide, including locations in Seoul’s Gangnam District, Songpa District, Yeonnam-dong, and Nowon District; Pangyo in Gyeonggi Province; and Busan and Daegu.
