[Financial News] Space and aerospace stocks are surging on news that SpaceX will conduct a test flight to place Starship into Earth orbit.
As of 9:53 a.m. on the 17th, Nara Space Technology was trading at 13,850 won, up 3,190 won (29.92%) from the previous trading day.
At the same time, KP Aerospace Industry (14.11%), Kencoa Aerospace (13.56%), CONTEC (9.84%), Sphere (8.35%), RF Materials (8.81%), and Innospace (8.10%) were also posting broad gains.
SpaceX is scheduled to conduct Starship’s 14th test flight on the 22nd. During the test launch, Starship is planned to enter an orbit approximately 275 kilometers above Earth, complete six orbits, and land in the Pacific Ocean west of Chile after 10 hours. This will be the first time Starship is placed into Earth orbit.
SpaceX shares closed 5.15% higher overnight in the U.S. stock market in New York.
