[Financial News] CJ CheilJedang will operate an experiential program linking support for young people’s stable access to food with resource circulation.
According to CJ CheilJedang on the 17th, the company will participate in the 2026 Seoul Youth Week, held from the 18th to the 19th around Moonlight Square at Banpo Hangang Park in Seocho-gu, Seoul, and operate a CJ CheilJedang Sharing Refrigerator booth.
Seoul Youth Week is an annual event held by the Seoul Metropolitan Government since 2021 to commemorate Youth Day, observed on the third Saturday of September.
This year, CJ CheilJedang will introduce its Sharing Refrigerator campaign and run an experiential program connecting food sharing with resource circulation. Young participants who follow CJ CheilJedang’s official social media accounts, watch an educational video on resource circulation, and take part in an OX quiz and other activities will receive food products, including Hetbahn.
The Sharing Refrigerator is a public-private partnership project that CJ CheilJedang has operated since 2021 as part of its participation in the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s healthy food support program. Refrigerators are installed at Seoul Youth Centers, and food packages containing Hetbahn, frozen foods, and other products are provided to young people from vulnerable groups who need food assistance.
CJ CheilJedang continues to carry out various social contribution activities. It donates more than 39 billion won worth of food annually through the Social Welfare Council Food Bank and Goodwill Store operated by the Miral Welfare Foundation. The Hope Food Pack campaign, launched in 2020 to reduce gaps in meals for children from vulnerable groups, delivers food packages to children at risk of going without meals during periods when school meals are unavailable, such as vacations and weekends.
A CJ CheilJedang official said, "We will continue to create sustainable social value by leveraging our products, technologies, and business capabilities."
