Sampyo Group Sponsors International Children's Film Festival... Supports Child Directors

[Financial News] Sampyo Group has supported children's creative activities by sponsoring the Seoul International Children's Film Festival for three consecutive years.
Sampyo Group announced on the 17th that it concluded its sponsorship activities for this year with the closing ceremony of the 14th Seoul International Children's Film Festival (SICFF), held at the Grand Performance Hall of the Eunpyeong Arts Center in Seoul on the 15th.
Sampyo Group donated 16.5 million won this year to support the operation of the 'Dodam Dodam Theater,' a screening venue tailored for infants and toddlers, and the awards ceremony for the International Children's Directors Competition. The Dodam Dodam Theater operated six times from the 11th to the 14th, attracting over 1,100 viewers.
In addition, prize money was provided to the winning entries selected from among 162 works by child directors aged 14 or younger. The Sampyo Grand Prize was awarded to 'To A.I.' by directors Jeong Ye-eun, Jeong Gyu-won, and Lee Ye-rin.
Director Lee Jin-ho's short film 'Pinocchio,' for which Sampyo Group supported post-production last year, was also screened at this year's film festival.
Yoo Yong-jae, Senior Vice President of Social Contribution at Sampyo Group, said, "We will support children so that they can cultivate their imagination through culture and the arts and grow into healthy members of society."
