K-water said on the 17th that it held the regular general meeting of the Water Industry Investment Institutions Council and an investor-relations (IR) session for promising companies at Konjiam Resort in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, over two days from the 15th to the 16th.
The event was organized to connect startups that have entered the growth stage with investment institutions and strengthen the water-industry investment cooperation system. Nine promising companies that had grown with K-water’s support participated and held IR sessions for investment institutions.
The participating companies showcased climate-tech technologies not only in the water industry but also in related sectors such as energy and secondary batteries. The meeting also addressed ways to foster the climate-tech industry and the operation and development of venture funds financed by K-water.
The Water Industry Investment Institutions Council was launched in 2022 with 12 institutions, including public organizations and private venture capital firms. The number of participating institutions has steadily increased, reaching 39 this year. The council connects promising companies with investors and supports their market entry and growth.
