[Financial News] Hanwha Corporation E&C Division’s residential brand, Hanwha Forena, has repeatedly ranked among the top in major apartment brand surveys in South Korea.
According to Hanwha Corporation E&C Division on the 17th, Hanwha Forena ranked third in the “Brands Expected to Grow” category in a recent apartment brand image survey conducted by Real Estate 114.
Hyundai Engineering and Construction’s Hillstate ranked first with 37.4%, followed by GS Engineering & Construction’s Xi apartment brand at 33.6% and Hanwha Forena at 32.2%. Daewoo Engineering & Construction’s PRUGIO and LOTTE Engineering & Construction’s LOTTE CASTLE ranked fourth and fifth, respectively. The survey was conducted among 2,843 consumers nationwide.
Hanwha Forena is a relatively new brand, having launched in 2019. It was the only new apartment brand introduced by one of the top 20 construction companies in terms of construction capability over the past decade to rank among the top three brands expected to grow.
Hanwha Forena also ranked highly in another brand survey. It placed fifth among all brands in the “2026 Apartment Brand Perceived Quality Satisfaction Index (ABQI)” survey conducted by Gallup Korea Research Institute. Xi apartment brand, LOTTE CASTLE, Hillstate, and Samsung C&T’s Raemian ranked ahead of Hanwha Forena.
ABQI is an index created by Gallup Korea Research Institute based on a survey of satisfaction with interior and exterior spaces among residents of branded apartments built by construction companies ranked among the top in construction capability. Hanwha Forena ranked second in the interior materials and finishing quality category, scoring 87.6 points.
The brand also received high marks for design. In the Real Estate 114 survey, “sophisticated” was selected as the image associated with Hanwha Forena. In the exterior design category, it received the highest rating among the brands surveyed, with a response rate of 15%. It also posted relatively high scores in product competitiveness categories, including advanced and convenience facilities.
Based on these consumer evaluations, Hanwha Corporation E&C Division is continuing to strengthen the brand’s competitiveness by applying Forena’s design not only to apartment exteriors but also to entrances, landscaping, community facilities, elevators, and other spaces residents use in their daily lives. The strategy is to differentiate its residential products by focusing on customers’ living experiences.
The company is also expanding its urban redevelopment business wins by leveraging its brand competitiveness. Hanwha Corporation E&C Division’s cumulative urban redevelopment orders this year total approximately 1.3 trillion won, surpassing last year’s annual total of approximately 770 billion won.
It has won contracts for Sections 1-1 and 1-7 of the Seokgwan-dong street housing redevelopment project, the Sindaebang Station area, and Busan Yeonji District 3. If it also wins the reconstruction project for Haan Jugong Complex 5, whose construction cost is expected to be around 1 trillion won, this year’s urban redevelopment orders are projected to exceed 2 trillion won.
An official from Hanwha Corporation E&C Division said, "It is highly significant that Hanwha Forena has repeatedly ranked among the top in recent brand surveys, demonstrating that consumers recognize its competitiveness." The official added, "We will continue to strengthen Forena’s differentiated design and product competitiveness so that it can grow into a brand customers can trust."
