KEMCO Reports Serious Accident at Onsan Refinery

[Financial News] KEMCO disclosed on the 17th that a serious accident occurred at its Onsan Refinery.
The accident occurred on the 16th when a worker was performing panel work on the roof of Plant 2 at the Onsan Refinery and stepped on a nearby skylight, causing it to break. The safety-belt rope the worker was wearing then snapped, causing the worker to fall to the lower level. A man in his 40s employed by a subcontractor, who had been installing a ventilation fan, reportedly fell to his death.
KEMCO said, "We are actively cooperating with the relevant authorities in their investigation of the accident, and plan to establish measures to prevent a recurrence after determining the exact cause."
