Hankook Tire to Exclusively Supply Belgian Rally Tires, Expanding European Push

[Financial News] Hankook Tire has been selected as the official tire supplier for the Belgian Rally Championship (BRC), expanding its supply base in the European motorsports market.
Following the World Rally Championship (WRC), the company is expanding its supply operations to asphalt-focused rally events to accumulate driving data and continue validating its technology.
Drivers competing in the WRC will also be able to check their vehicle setups through real-world driving in the BRC, where competitors use tires from the same brand.
Hankook Tire & Technology announced on the 17th that it will exclusively supply racing tires to the BRC for three seasons from 2027 through 2029. The supply will cover all vehicles competing in the three major classes—Rally2, Rally3 and Rally4. As before, Chronos Tires will handle tire distribution.
The BRC is Belgium’s national rally championship, with races held mainly on tarmac courses. The event provides a venue for testing the performance and durability of tarmac rally tires, as it requires precise cornering and stable grip at high speeds.
Hankook Tire will supply the Ventus Z215 and Ventus Z210 for the event. The Ventus Z215 is designed to deliver cornering and handling performance on dry surfaces. The Ventus Z210 is intended for wet surfaces, focusing on drainage performance and maintaining grip.
The supply agreement is also linked to the company’s existing tire supply activities in the WRC. Since 2025, Hankook Tire has exclusively supplied racing tires to all WRC classes organized by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), as well as the Junior European Rally Championship.
Hankook Tire plans to apply the driving data and tire technology accumulated in the WRC to its BRC supply operations. Starting with the 2027 season, WRC drivers are expected to use the BRC as a real-world testing venue to assess tire performance and vehicle setups across various surfaces and driving conditions.
Meanwhile, Hankook Tire supplies racing tires to more than 70 motorsports events worldwide, including the WRC and Lamborghini Super Trofeo. The company is focusing on using driving data gathered at these events for research and development while raising awareness of its global integrated brand, Hankook.
