[Financial News] CJ OliveNetworks is seeking AI-native talent to help lead AI transformation (AX) across industries.
CJ OliveNetworks announced on the 17th that it will conduct open recruitment for new employees in the second half of 2026. Available positions include engineering roles in AI, data, software, digital transformation (DX), ERP, information security, infrastructure services, cloud, and network services, as well as AI video product planning. Applications can be submitted through the CJ Group recruitment website by 5 p.m. on the 30th.
AI engineers support AX across various industries by developing services based on generative AI and AI agents. Data engineers are responsible for building and operating the group’s data platform. DX engineers develop systems and services for CJ Group’s major businesses, including food and food services, logistics and new retail, and entertainment and media, thereby supporting DX initiatives.
This recruitment drive focuses on selecting AI-native talent. The goal is to hire people who use AI as a basic work tool, identify new opportunities independently, and demonstrate their capabilities through results.
To this end, the company has completely revamped its existing coding-test process and introduced a new AI competency assessment for all positions. Applicants for development roles will take a Vibe Coding test, in which they collaborate with AI to create actual deliverables. Applicants for non-development roles will take an AI utilization competency test that evaluates how effectively they use AI in work situations.
The recruitment process consists of document screening, an AI competency assessment, and first- and second-round interviews. Candidates who pass the second-round interview will undergo an internship process lasting up to three weeks, after which final selection will be confirmed in January 2027.
CJ OliveNetworks plans to hold an online recruitment briefing on September 28, featuring recruiters and employees from relevant positions to help applicants better understand the roles.
Lee Yong-wook, an HR representative at CJ OliveNetworks, said, "We have revamped the recruitment process so that we can identify AI-native talent from the outset, in line with an era when AI is becoming fundamental to the way people work." He added, "We look forward to receiving strong interest and applications from talented people who want to grow with CJ OliveNetworks as it leads AX across industries, find new opportunities through AI, and prove their capabilities through results."
More information about the new employee recruitment is available on the CJ OliveNetworks website and the CJ Group recruitment website.
