USITC Launches Investigation into Samsung Electronics, Apple, and Google Over Patent Infringement Allegations by a US Company

[Financial News] The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) announced on the 16th (local time) that it is launching an investigation into Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Apple Inc., and Google Experience Center at the request of a US company alleging infringement of specific audio technology patents.
The USITC posted a notice on its website today stating that it is investigating Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and others regarding potential patent infringement related to audio technology.
The patent infringement claim was filed by Boomcloud 360, a company based in California.
It is claimed that electronic devices from Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Apple Inc., and Google Experience Center infringed on three of Boomcloud 360's audio technology patents.
It is reported that Boomcloud 360 took issue with technology that corrects the left-right imbalance of speakers and produces spatial sound.
Boomcloud 360 requested the USITC to ban the import of the products in question into the US on a limited basis and to block the distribution and sale of products that have already entered the US.
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and the others must submit a response within 20 days from the date of receiving the notice of commencement of the investigation.
