On September 17, the YouTube channel 'Jip Nawara Ttukttak!' covered SH's announcement of the '2026 Recruitment of Tenants for Redevelopment Rental Housing,' released on September 9. SH is seeking tenants for a total of 3,821 units across 162 complexes throughout Seoul.
■Recruiting 3,821 units... A look at the major complexes
Redevelopment rental housing is public rental housing first offered to tenants whose homes are demolished for redevelopment, with the remaining units supplied at affordable prices to citizens who do not own homes. All of the units in this offering are smaller than 40m2, but a notable feature is the large number of newly built, large-scale and station-area apartment complexes in highly sought-after locations.

Gwanak Dream Town Apartments in Bongcheon-dong, Gwanak-gu, which has the second-largest supply, will offer 126 units measuring 32m2. The deposit is 11.8 million won and the monthly rent is 163,200 won, with a two-room layout. Also drawing attention is Lacherbo Prugio Summit in Haengdang-dong, Seongdong-gu, which offers access to the eight lines at Wangsimni Station and the amenities of Seoul Forest. It will offer 19 units measuring 36m2.

Notably, this announcement lowers the barriers further for young people. As of the announcement date, September 9, 2026, an adult member of a household without a home who resides in Seoul may apply. In particular, the income thresholds for one- and two-person households have been eased. The basic first-priority threshold is no more than 50% of average monthly income, but the threshold is raised by 20 percentage points for one-person households and 10 percentage points for two-person households. Accordingly, one-person households with income of up to 70%—no more than 2,669,354 won per month—and two-person households with income of up to 60%—no more than 3,519,762 won per month—may apply. Households with children born after March 28, 2023, will receive further relaxation of the income and asset requirements.
The combined total assets of all household members must be no more than 345 million won, and the value of an individual vehicle must not exceed 45.42 million won.

Housing applications for first-priority applicants will be accepted from September 29 through October 2, while second-priority applications will be accepted on October 8. Applications must generally be submitted online or by mobile device, with in-person applications permitted only for vulnerable groups such as older adults. Applicants selected for document screening will be announced on October 23, and the final winners are scheduled to be announced on March 30, 2027.
