Hyundai Steel Company Obtains ISO 37301 Compliance Management Systems Certification

[Financial News] Hyundai Steel Company has obtained ISO 37301 Compliance Management Systems certification, an international standard for compliance management systems. The company has strengthened its enterprise-wide compliance management system by establishing a framework in which employees directly responsible for operations assess and improve compliance risks that may arise during work processes.
Hyundai Steel Company announced on the 16th that it held an ISO 37301 Compliance Management Systems certification ceremony at its Pangyo office in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province, with Seo Sang-won, Head of Management Support Division and VP of Hyundai Steel Company, and Park Jae-gyu, Chairman of the Korea Fair Competition Federation, in attendance.
ISO 37301 Compliance Management Systems is an international standard for compliance management systems established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It comprehensively evaluates whether a company has a management system that enables it to comply with laws and internal standards related to its business activities and prevent and manage compliance risks.
During the certification assessment, Hyundai Steel Company analyzed its business environment and stakeholders’ requirements, evaluated compliance risks that could arise in key work processes, and established management measures and improvement tasks.
Hyundai Steel Company plans to further develop its management system based on ISO 37301 Compliance Management Systems, linking compliance risk assessments, internal audits, management reviews, and improvement activities.
A Hyundai Steel Company official said, "We will continue to strengthen our management system so that compliance can become deeply embedded in employees’ work and decision-making."
