[Financial News] Hanyang University announced on the 16th that Roh Tae-woo, a professor in its Division of International Studies, had been appointed to the editorial review board of Management International Review (MIR), a leading international journal in the field of international business. He is currently the only researcher affiliated with a South Korean university serving on the MIR editorial review board.
Professor Roh is an international business expert who has been named to the list of the world’s top 2% of researchers, released by Stanford University and global academic publisher Elsevier, for two consecutive years. Following his appointment in March to the editorial advisory board of International Business Review (IBR), the official journal of the European International Business Academy, he has strengthened his standing in the international academic community by taking on a series of editorial and review roles for leading global journals.
Published by global publisher Springer Nature, MIR is an academic journal that examines companies’ overseas expansion, multinational management, and comparisons of management practices across countries. Professor Roh will review papers submitted by researchers worldwide for academic validity and conduct peer reviews to verify the quality of the research, helping maintain the journal’s standards.
Professor Roh said, "A researcher’s core responsibility is not only to produce good research but also to review fellow researchers’ papers fairly and rigorously," adding, "I will actively connect the outstanding research achievements and perspectives of South Korean researchers with the global academic community."
