1,346 Attend Konkuk University Job Fair; 2,494 Counseling Sessions Held Over Two Days

More than 1,300 current students and graduates visited Konkuk University’s job fair. Nearly 2,500 counseling sessions were held over the two-day event.
Konkuk University announced on the 16th that it held the “2026 Academic Year Job Fair” at the indoor gymnasium on its Seoul Campus from the 7th to the 8th. A total of 1,346 current students and graduates participated, and 2,494 counseling sessions were conducted.
Current alumni and corporate recruiters met with students at the fair to provide counseling on job functions and recruitment.
Graduates working at Samsung Electronics, SK hynix, Celltrion and Kakao Pay participated in the alumni mentoring program. They introduced the actual duties associated with positions in human resources, information technology (IT) and research and development (R&D), as well as their job-preparation processes.
Corporate recruitment counseling continued over the two days. On the 7th, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), CJ ENM, Hyundai Glovis, Daewoo Engineering & Construction and ILJIN Group participated. On the 8th, Hyundai Engineering and Construction, Cosmax, LIG Defense & Aerospace, DB Insurance, DB Inc. and Samsung C&T’s construction division provided counseling.
Career and employment counseling by professional consultants from the University Job Plus Center was also offered, along with visa and employment counseling for international students. A counseling booth for youth employment policies operated by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) was also available.
Lee Sang-won, head of Konkuk University’s Student Career Services Office, said, “In the current recruitment environment, it is important for students to define their desired job functions early and understand the actual work involved.” He added, “We will continue expanding employment-support programs linked to alumni currently working in the field.”
