[Financial News] Hanwha Life is visiting sales offices nationwide to strengthen its ability to protect financial consumers and establish a culture of complete sales.
Hanwha Life announced that it will conduct the nationwide tour program, Sales Field Customer Trust PLUS Day, with the participation of its Chief Customer Officer (CCO) from the 15th through the end of next month.
The program was designed to strengthen communication at sales offices, where employees meet customers directly, so that financial consumer protection principles are properly implemented. It focuses on sharing recent financial authorities’ consumer protection policies and complaint trends, while preventing potential consumer harm during the sales process.
The training covers 29 organizations nationwide, including the regional divisions of Hanwha Life Financial Service and Life Lab, as well as call centers, claims-adjustment organizations and affiliated general agency business divisions. Hanwha Life also plans to expand consumer protection training and field activities in cooperation with the CCOs of its subsidiary general agencies.
The sessions explain financial consumer protection policies and supervisory priorities, while reviewing key principles that must be followed in the field to ensure complete sales, including the six sales rules and the duty to explain. Using complaint cases handled by the Financial Supervisory Service, the company will also share the main causes of complaints and response measures to prevent similar cases.
The program will also include sessions for directly gathering feedback from the field. Hanwha Life plans to collect difficulties encountered during complaint handling and suggestions for improving operations, then reflect them in consumer protection systems and work processes.
Choi Jae-deok, Hanwha Life’s head of consumer protection, said, "Consumer protection has true meaning when it is practiced at sales offices, where employees are closest to customers." He added, "Through this Sales Field Customer Trust PLUS Day, we will further strengthen the culture of consumer protection in the field and do our utmost to create a financial services environment that customers can trust even more."
