Jeonbuk Financial Town Enters Implementation Stage: Jeonbuk State, Jeonju-si and Orion Consortium

【Financial News Jeonju = Kang In】 Jeonbuk State signed an agreement on the 16th at its government complex with Jeonju-si and the Orion Asset Management-led consortium to develop the Jeonbuk International Finance Center and other financial town facilities.
The agreement marks the next step after the consortium, which includes Orion Asset Management, KB Securities, Daishin Securities, KIWOOM Securities, Heerim Architects & Planners and Truston Asset Management, was selected as the preferred negotiating party in the public bidding process.
Under the agreement, Jeonbuk State and Jeonju-si will secure the site and provide administrative support.
Orion Asset Management will oversee project planning and fund management, while KB Securities, Daishin Securities and KIWOOM Securities will participate as financial investors, contributing capital and recruiting investors while arranging financing.
Construction of the financial town is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2027, with completion targeted for 2030.
The project will invest 600 billion won to build the Jeonbuk International Finance Center, a hotel and convention facilities, and small-office/home-office facilities on a 33,257-square-meter site in Manseong-dong, Deokjin-gu, Jeonju-si, where Jeonbuk Innovation City is located.
Jeonbuk State Governor Lee Won-taek said, "The development of the financial town has finally entered the implementation stage. We will swiftly complete financial infrastructure that can create synergies with the National Pension Service (NPS), secure the relocation of a second group of public institutions, and ensure the designation of the area as the country's third financial hub."
