'The First National Youth Workers’ Convention' Held in Busan (Comprehensive)

[Financial News] The '2026 First National Youth Workers’ Convention,' organized to promote unity and exchange among youth workers nationwide, was held successfully on the 16th at the Classic Hall of Grand Moment Youth Hostel in Busan.
Held under the slogan 'Toward a Better Tomorrow for Youth, Youth Workers Becoming One,' the event drew around 200 participants, including full members and officials of the Korea Youth Workers Association.
The event was jointly hosted and organized by the Korea Youth Workers Association, Grand Moment Youth Hostel, the Busan Association of Youth Training Facilities, and the Busan Association of Youth Workers. It was supported by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, Busan, the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education, and the Busan Metropolitan Council, with sponsorship from IPX and the Association for the Practice of Safety Culture Education.
The event began with congratulatory remarks from key guests and proceeded with an introduction to the Korea Youth Workers Association’s projects, awards for contributors and outstanding youth workers, the appointment of Hyun Jung-hwa, senior vice president of the Korea Table Tennis Association, as a promotional ambassador, and the appointment of advisory committee members.
The program also featured presentations on exemplary youth activity cases to strengthen youth workers’ practical job skills and improve their rights and interests, a special lecture on laws related to improving their working conditions and status, hands-on activities, and networking sessions among participants. The diverse lineup received a strong response from attendees.
Park Soo-young, chair of the Korea Youth Workers Association, said, "It is especially meaningful to have organized this first convention, where youth workers from across the country can gather in one place." Park added, "Using this convention as a starting point, we will devote all our efforts to raising public awareness of youth workers who are dedicated to their work in the field and to establishing an institutional foundation for improving their professional status and working conditions."

The Korea Youth Workers Association was established to develop and implement youth policies for approximately 76,000 youth workers nationwide, advocate for their rights and interests, and promote their welfare. It plans to continue serving as a strong support for youth workers.
