Seoul Signs Friendship City Agreement with Kyrgyzstan’s Bishkek, Expanding Exchanges

[Financial News] Oh Se-hoon, mayor of Seoul, met with Aibek Junushaliyev, mayor of Bishkek, at Seoul Metropolitan Government headquarters on the 16th and signed a friendship city agreement between Seoul and Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Under the agreement, the two cities will expand cooperation in various areas, including trade and commerce, the economy, science, culture, education and urban administration. They will also pursue regular consultations between relevant departments, exchanges of delegations and mutual participation in major events. This year, Seoul Metropolitan Government selected Bishkek as a target city for the Seoul ODA Challenge Program and is supporting a project to establish a Seoul Physical Fitness Center there.
Mayor Oh said, "Building on the trust we have developed, we will expand practical cooperation, starting with areas of mutual benefit such as urban administration, transportation, culture and people-to-people exchanges."
