LSCUS and LS Marine Solution Showcase Eco-Friendly Power Grid Technologies at Climate Industry International Expo

[Financial News] LSCUS and LS Marine Solution will showcase carbon-neutral technologies ranging from eco-friendly power grid construction to the recycling of waste cables.
LSCUS and LS Marine Solution announced on the 16th that they will participate in the Carbon-Neutral Expo, held as part of the 2026 Climate Industry International Expo at BEXCO in Busan from the 16th to the 18th.
The two companies have organized their exhibition around a “one-stop integrated power grid” connecting renewable energy production sites with points of electricity consumption. They will introduce key power grid technologies, including submarine cables that transmit electricity generated at offshore wind farms to land and superconducting cables that efficiently transmit large volumes of electricity.
LSCUS is the only South Korean company with a track record of commercializing 500-kV-class high-voltage direct current (HVDC) cables. LS Marine Solution is also the only company in South Korea with experience installing HVDC submarine cables. As renewable energy generation expands, the importance of a business structure combining power grid construction and installation capabilities is also growing.
The companies will also exhibit eco-friendly materials and resource-circulation technologies. LSCUS will introduce recyclable polypropylene (PP) cable materials and “Q-Flake,” a new copper material for copper foil that uses copper scrap to reduce processing and energy consumption.
They will also showcase technology for recycling cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation from waste cables, along with crafts made from recycled copper. ESG programs will include an experience making key rings from waste plastic and performances by the Bsol Arts Troupe, an occupational arts group for people with disabilities operated by LSCUS.
An LSCUS official said, “For the energy transition, it is important not only to expand power grids but also to ensure environmental sustainability throughout the entire process, from product manufacturing and use to recycling.” The official added, “We will contribute to building sustainable power infrastructure by strengthening our eco-friendly power grid technologies and resource-circulation capabilities.”
