'Car, the Garden' at the World Mountain Film Festival? Ulsan Ulju Mountain Film Festival offers plenty to enjoy besides movies

[Financial News Ulsan = Reporter Choi Su-sang] The Ulsan Ulju Mountain Film Festival, marking its 11th year, is being operated as a film festival that can be enjoyed both day and night by preparing a variety of programs in addition to movies.
In addition to movies, there are approximately 30 various performances, exhibitions, and experience programs for visitors to enjoy over the five days from the opening on the 18th to the closing on the 22nd.
In addition to the opening performance by 'Amuttta Band' and the closing performance by Lee Chan-won, 12 musical and theatrical performances will follow, starting with singer-songwriter GillGipan Band's stage at 1:30 PM on the first day. Performances by the Hoopy Band, the theater company Strange Movement, the creative Korean traditional music group Maureen, and Dave You's accordion performance, Jin Soo-young Cinema Ensemble, Kim Joo-won's 'The Sound Stage Ensemble', Uncle Kid's juggling comedy, Lee Jae-hong's puppet show, Choi Ye-seul's tango, and the Hong Jin-pyo Trio will take place in succession.
In particular, on the 21st, a stage featuring 'Old Man Lightning' + Car, the Garden is prepared. A video will be shown that humorously captures the process of legendary climber John Sherman taking on Yosemite's mythical bouldering course 'Midnight Lightning' again, followed by musician Car, the Garden appearing to present a soulful 60-minute performance.

A diverse range of experiential programs has also been prepared. First, we have partnered with local small business owners and organizations in the Ulsan Ulju region who have expanded their reach with their own unique characteristics, transforming the Yeongnam Alps into a venue for even more colorful experiences.
Dongbang Honey Co., Ltd., which has been promoting the value of the region's nature and honeybees, presents an eco-friendly beeswax garland-making class by connecting with the beekeeping culture shared with the guest country, Slovenia.
In addition, 'Serpapa,' which has garnered attention as a forest experience program where children and parents play together in the great outdoors to awaken their physical senses, operates dynamic experiential spaces for the whole family to enjoy, such as hybrid races, nighttime running, and nighttime yoga, using the wide-open terrain of the Yeongnam Alps Complex Welcome Center as its stage. Furthermore, during the film festival, visitors can try slacklining and enjoy activities such as bubble play, stargazing, sound walking, and making pet rocks.


In addition, unique content has been prepared, including 'Oneul Daldang,' which has been loved by Ulsan citizens as experiential baking content; 'Haejoeum,' which offers the power of healing to care for oneself through singing bowl healing meditation; and 'Supgwa Hamkke,' which allows us to experience the importance of coexistence with the ecosystem we are part of through forest experiences.
'UMF Treasure Trove' is also opening its doors. This is a venue for audience-participatory exchange where visitors can share cherished items, handmade works, and tastes and stories they wish to share. It will be held on the evenings of the 19th and 20th at the Yeongnam Alps Complex Welcome Center plaza.
In addition, a lecture by Silvo Caro, a legend of the mountaineering world who chronicled Patagonia's past 30 years, will be held at Alps Cinema on the 18th. A talk concert featuring the An Chi-young expedition team, which was the first in the world to climb the unclimbed SAT PEAK, will also take place.
In addition, the 38th National Friendship Sports Climbing Competition, sponsored by CLIMB KOREA, will be held on the 19th at the International Climbing Stadium in the Yeongnam Alps Complex Welcome Center.
